Our Classes

Pick up a paint brush and dip into a rainbow of colors and a world of shapes. You and your young artist will create masterpieces using brushes, rollers, sponges and fingers. Discover different textures while constructing unique collages. Through the process of exploration and manipulation of materials, children will improve hand-eye coordination, strength and fine motor skills.

Get up and dance!!! Share your children’s delight in movement as they run, jump, gallop, slide, tiptoe and rock & roll. In this class you and your child will enjoy a variety of activities together using balls, hoops, musical instruments, a parachute and much, much more. Enjoy these 45 minutes overflowing with music, movement and imagination.

For the imaginative child who is ready for something extra. In this 90 minute class a weekly theme comes to life through creative play as well as music, dance and art activities. As children develop their sensory motor abilities they also begin to grow in perceptual skills, laying the groundwork for future learning. Adults and children alike will enjoy this upbeat and inventive time together.

Take a giant step forward. This 90 minute class consists of creative play, music and movement, art, and a snack. Through a gradual non-pressured separation period children will begin to participate on their own. A great bridge between parent / toddler classes and nursery school.

Tune your ears to the sounds of France. Learn the French words for colors, shapes, animals and numbers in a fun and relaxing atmosphere. Sing French songs, listen to French music and create a thematic art project. Through repetition and reinforcement you and your child will develop an ear for the French language and learn to say simple phrases. Handouts will be provided with basic vocabulary words.

Enter a young child’s world of fantasy. This unique movement class will take your child on a weekly adventure. Stories, imaginative play, obstacle courses, music and dancing, and a splash of art round out the theme of the day. A great introduction to the joy of dance and an opportunity to express oneself through creative movement and art. Great for boys and girls.
 

Explore the fun and fascinating visual world of the Fine Arts and create your own portfolio of original masterpieces. Learn about the work of masters of modern art including Kandinsky, Matisse, and Picasso and create a project of shape and color based on the unique qualities of their styles. Images from popular children’s literature also inspire the fun.

Put on your explorers cap. This class combines the curiosity of science with the beauty of art. Children will explore, manipulate and discover their world through simple experiments, games, stories and art projects. Weekly themes will focus on the 5 senses, motion, nature,animals… and many more hands on science activities. Watch their delight as they explore the world of cause and effect.

Stop before you throw that object into the trash can. This class will inspire you to be inventive using recycled materials to create new and wonderful art projects. Musical instruments, puppets, 3d buildings and paper plate projects will all be a part of the fun in this earth friendly art class.
